Teaching roll over
1.Start with your dog in Lay down and kneel in front of her with a treat in your hand. Allow her to sniff the treat but don't let her eat it.
2.Move the treat behind the dog's head. As she turns her head to follow the treat her shoulder will drop and she will be lying on her side.
3.Keep moving the treat so the dog is lying on its back. To keep the treat in view the dog will keep rolling so she is in Lie Down position.
4.As your dog is starting to flip say Rollover so she knows what she's doing. Give her a treat and a pat so she knows it's good.
Tips if your dog doesn't like laying on its back
1.If your dog doesn't like laying belly up just giver her a little tummy scrub.
Better tricks
1.Series of rollover: To do this trick ask your dog to do rollover and then quickly give her a treat then ask your dog to do rollover again. To do more repeat the step. Eventually your dog will be able to do it. Sometimes make your dog do two then give a super size treat.
2.The roll back: Lots of dogs can rollover, but can they roll back? Use the same steps but in the other direction.
